A workshop with Romain Bernini and his students from the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris, along with an exhibition of his works from the Frac Île-de-France collection.

The workshop

Painting takes center stage for a quarter of workshops at the Maison de santé in Épinay-sur-Seine. A group of students from Romain Bernini’s studio at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris rounds out their training by collaborating with the Frac to design a series of workshops where their brushes meet those of the public in the outpatient department. Knowledge sharing and exchange are at the heart of this long-term collaboration, transforming the Maison de santé into a new studio. A special exchange complements these sessions: a canvas travels back and forth between the École des Beaux-Arts and the Day Hospital. Pierre Bonnard’s incessant retouching of his works becomes the brushstrokes of each participant, layering upon one another to cover the surface of this collective painting. The project will conclude with the annual Festival d’Art Brut (FAB) organized by the health center, where professional and amateur practices will engage in dialogue.
