Presented simultaneously in the Réserves of the Frac Île-de-France and in the Chaufferie of the Fondation Fiminco, the exhibition for the inaugural edition of Art Émergence brings together the graduation projects of 42 artists and designers graduating in 2024 from all of France’s public art and design schools, with one graduate from each school.

The aim of the exhibition is twofold: to present each artist’s diploma project and unique world, and to provide a panorama of the aesthetic and political concerns that are currently running through the creative output of art schools.

The artists and diploma projects presented were selected following a call for applications sent out to all 2024 Master 2 graduates from schools that are members of ANdÉA (Association nationale des écoles d’art). The selection was made by the exhibition’s three curators, assisted by members of the Art Emergence artistic committee, comprising artists Dimitri Chamblas, Elizabeth Jaeger, Tarek Lakhrissi, Myriam Mihindou and Josèfa Ntjam.

In addition to the exhibition at the Réserves du Frac Île-de-France and Fiminco’s Chaufferie, the 1st edition of Art Emergence has two other components:

Art Emergence  is a new event dedicated to emerging artistic creation, presented by Artagon in association with the Ministry of Culture, the City of Paris, the Île-de-France Region and the Seine-Saint-Denis Departmental Council, and with the support of numerous partners committed to the young artistic scene.
