Echoing his work PPE (2019), presented as part of the Children Power exhibition (until December 19, 2021), Richard Fauguet has produced a limited edition of children’s T-shirts featuring some of the motifs from the series of drawings on cardboard presented at Le Plateau, which revisits Picasso’s most famous portraits, rigorously framed by disposable metallic cardboard trays.
The concepts of amalgamation and aberration that run through the artist’s work are evident here, including in his choice of unusual materials and techniques, often used inappropriately. Richard Fauguet’s universe refers to that of childhood and adolescence, where unbridled fantasy and humor are expressed in a way that is both subversive and poetic.
