This exhibition brings together a selection of works that explore the body in its relationship to constraint, whether social, psychological, or whether imposed by the artist on the visitor or himself. Beyond the hindrance it represents, it can be seen as a tool for studying the body in its relationship to the other and to the world.
With works by : Jean-Luc Blanc, Carlotta Bailly-Borg, Denis Darzacq, Maria Corvocane, Adélaïde Fériot, Michel François, Mélanie Matranga, Bruno Munari, Bruce Nauman, Henrik Olesen, Djamel Tatah, Jeanne Vicerial, Marie Voignier, Erwin Wurm, from the Frac Île-de-France collection (except the work by Jeanne Vicerial – on loan from Galerie Templon).
