From perception to fusion and immersion to osmosis, the Chaosmose #2 exhibition examines in more ways than one the disruption resulting from our presence in the world, displayed in an experimental and sensitive exhibition comprised of many passages between the earth and the cosmos.

The emphasis placed on experience, the experience of artists and visitors, with others and in oneself, introduces this exhibition. Space, a true commodity and medium for perceptual experimentation, is one of the first components. Visitors are immersed, literally as well as symbolically, via spatialisation or loss of bearings; perceptual acuity is sought here, as if to nurture awareness of oneself and the world.

Based on an extended perception of space in nature and in the cosmos, the works here question boundaries between human and non-human, nature and culture. In a continually changing world, these works of art/passages are tools for exploring the world’s pulses to evoke a possible continuum.

The artists invite us to move away from an anthropocentric vision of the world and to re-evaluate our relationship with the world, as well as with all visible and invisible beings in the universe. These experimenters call upon the imagination to shape organic relationships between Man and the Cosmos in pursuit of osmosis with our environment.

Become Flesh, How to Change Paradigms in Entangled Worlds ?

The Space Brain Laboratory brings together artists and researchers (in astrobiology, anthropology, geology…) for the purposes of sharing their explorations into the connections which link space, time, body and mind. Starting from the field of artistic experimentation, the Laboratory wishes to favor intuition as its driving force, shared imagination as a foundation and collective exchange as its modus operandi.

Through the research cycle “Towards a cosmomorphic world”, launched in October 2016, the Laboratory has extended the scope of its exploration to the organic connections which link humanity to the cosmos.
In our Post-Anthropocene era, the intensity of climatic upheaval and its consequences forces us now more than ever to recompose a common, shared world, one which is at the same time human and non-human.
