Off-site programming in dialogue with Île-de-France heritage :
The works of contemporary artists irrigate the Île-de-France region in direct encounter with its rich medieval heritage and a wide public. This off-site program multiplies the perspectives opened up by Berserk & Pyrrhia in the light of the history of the region and the traces of medieval societies that have come down to us. In a dialogue with historical monuments and the motifs and uses of objects from leading museum collections, contemporary works express the personal reappropriation of great narratives or bear witness to the transhistorical circulation of images and references, as much as they sometimes accompany scientific research such as that on the nomadism of medieval courts (Château-Musée de Nemours).
Exhibitions and workshops with schoolchildren, high-school students, students and the elderly also take up this universe to carry out the fundamental action of mediation and raising awareness of art and contemporary thinking that constitutes an essential axis of the Frac Île-de-France’s role in the Ile-de-France region.
