Openning on saturday 28 May, from 4pm to 7 pm as part of l’antenne culturelle’s 10 1/2 year anniversary.
In 2005 and 2006, Pierre Ardouvin and Anne Brégeaut were the first artists invited to initiate the window display programme. Ten years on, to mark the anniversary of l’antenne culturelle, the artists are back in this unique space combining their talent in an unprecedented joint presentation of recent pieces.
Their installation is structured around the Louse, a disturbing hybrid glass and metal monster created by Pierre Ardouvin. A wide range of colourful paintings by Anne Brégeaut, that complement this central focus, are dispersed on the wallpaper that has been specially designed by the artist, producing an overall composition effect. The multiple frames resemble a multitude of dreamscapes, revealing familiar and absurd associations. The exhibition, that is visible from the street, opens up a landscape oscillating from a domestic scene towards the strange or even fantastic.
Pierre Ardouvin was born in 1955. He lives and works in Paris and is represented by Galerie Praz-Delavallade, Paris. Anne Brégeaut was born in 1971. She lives and works in Paris.
